Records of research include census records, vital statistics, directories, church records, immigration records, military records, property records, newspapers, and more. There is a plethora of information out there, but it takes a willingness to do the hard work of scouring through the various records, some of which are extremely hard to read. Even some of the well known genealogy sites contain errors in their search results. For example, a person baptized as John Hurley might show up mistakenly as John Murley simply because the volunteer researching through the records might misread the original text, therefore, making our search attempts more in vain.
